What have you been reading this summer?

Summer reading at the SAU Library is still going strong. We have weekly drawings every Wednesday and have already given out several fun prizes. To make sure you don’t miss out, drop your “Rate this Book” sheets off in the box at the library or online here:

Here’s just a few of the reviews we’ve already had to give you an idea of what people have been reading. Take a look, maybe something here is just the book you are looking for this summer:

Living Downstream by Sandra Steingraber
“Very disturbing in a good way.”

Look Again by Lisa Scottoline
“Interesting twists as the plot unfolds. Makes you keep guessing.”

Whisper to the Blood by Dana Stabenow
“My first outing with Alaska P.I. Kate Shugak is actually the 16th of the series….guess I’ll have to go back and get caught up! Great regional action & scene setting.”

Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
“Will read anything he writes. Love the historical details.”

Washington Square by Henry James
“Change of pace for me! – Reminded me slightly of Northanger Abbey with the opposite results for the heroine!  (Last read James in high school.)”

Going Clear by Lawrence Wright
‘It was an interesting and scary read about Scientology.”

The Night Before by Lisa Jackson
“Good romantic suspense, a psychological thriller with an unexpected twist.”

Naked Once More by Elizabeth Peters
“Good mystery by my favorite living author. This is the last of the Jacqueline Kirby books, not quite as good as the Amelia ones, but good. Ending could have been a bit more satisfying.”

The Tao of Martha by Jen Lancaster
“Always an entertaining author! Jen Lancaster provides full-on laugh out loud moments in her books.”
