National Library Week, April 8-14

The heart of the campus community is the library, and the heart of the library is the people we serve. Our library builds collections and programs to meet the diverse needs of our community. There’s something for everyone at the SAU Library.  The only piece missing is you!  You belong @ your library.  Celebrate National Library Week with us!

Special activities include:

Tuesday – Cookie Day all day at the Library, compliments of the
Library staff. Register for prizes while you’re here.

Wednesday – Annual Paper Airplane Contest 2:30 p.m.  We challenge you
all to construct a paper airplane and come to the Library at 2:30 to
see which plane goes the farthest, hits the bull’s-eye, judge’s choice
or is the most creative.  Prizes will be awarded!  Bring your whole
class or come by yourself – it’s great fun!  Register for prizes while
you’re here.

Thursday – Library staff will be dressed as their favorite literary
character. Who knows who you might encounter at the Reference or
Circulation Desks?

Friday 12pm-3pm. Come play Angry Birds in the Library atrium! Also,
at noon we will draw the names of the winners of the raffle prizes.
Although you don’t have to be present to win, it makes it more fun if
we have a crowd!

Stop in and register for prizes every time you are in the Library.

Watch for our new READ posters throughout the week.

Come and help us
celebrate National Library Week!
