We’d like to welcome SAU students, staff, and faculty to another exciting academic year at St. Ambrose University. Very soon students will begin moving their belongings into residence halls and collecting textbooks and other educational paraphernalia; faculty members will be finalizing syllabi and submitting articles to be placed on electronic reserve; librarians will welcome first-year and returning students to Information Literacy classes and new faculty members to the library. Wireless Internet Access
Wi-Fi is available throughout the library. The SAU Library, with the SAU bookstore and the Rogalski Center, is the third building on campus to provide wireless Internet access.
Information Literacy Test-Out
All incoming undergraduate students are required to pass Information Literacy 101 at SAU. However, two test-out opportunities per term are available. If you are interested in the test-out and would like to see if you are eligible to take it, please consult the Information Literacy 101 Test-Out Information page accessible through the library’s homepage or call the reference desk at (563)333-6472.
SAU Faculty/Staff Breakfast
The Library will be hosting our annual breakfast on Thursday, August 28th, 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. for members of SAU Faculty and Staff. We’ll be demonstrating some new databases (ABI Inform, Social & Behavioral Science, SocINDEX) and staff members and librarians will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Oh, and there’ll be FOOD!
